You need an ....." Alison pile ".

My wife's closest friend, a fellow nurse and her partner never seem able to make ends quite meet.
Both hardworking, 2 lovely boys ( both prem and now with on going issues) a small house and a cheap car.
Not poverty stricken but no little treats or bits extra.

Hence the Alison pile. So far this year.......
Tin of shortbread biscuits. ( my mother to me )
Rose scented soap/ bath set ( my mother to wife )
Pair of slippers, open back, size 11, men's ( I'm size 9 )
Box of Thorntons continental chocolates. ( for my choholic wife, who tells same person every year she doesn't like continental chocolate)

Have a nice day. If I see 6 jams for sale in a charity shop I'll think of you.:):)

A dangerous pastime. You really have to make sure you don't re-gift back to the original gifter:banghead::banghead::banghead:.
Strangely enough my daughter asked me why I was looking through my son in laws presents this morning. I said that I was just seeing what I might get next year.:):):):)
The Gillette talc and body lotion set looked promising :):):)

Actually a few year's ago I gave MIL some leather gloves and her sister coincidentally gave her a matching scarf. The following year my gift was the scarf and gloves.

Makes jam seem less offensive in a way...
 
One Christmas my mil gave me £5 and an oven glove my husband got £5 and a pair of proper gloves! I got the hint that she didn't like me.
