Another Bread Thread

I would test the sweet potato out carefully.
It actually has more carbs than normal potato. However some people can eat it without a significant blood glucose rise, while others (me) get silly high readings.
If you are eating low carb bread, then you might be better having lower carb options to replace your potato. Swede, turnip, celeriac, cauliflower in the form of cauli rice, cauli cheese (LC version), broccoli riced or cheesed like the cauli, oomi noodles, konjac noodles, Lo-Dough... there are quite a few options.
Thankyou Brunneria , will take that onboard .

I am a big fan of cauliflower cheese but I can also recommend cauliflower florets baked in the oven with Indian spices - very very tasty.

I get a bit confused between the 2 of you, however it seems like you both eat what to me ( a Type 2 ) seems like a lot of carbs. It seems that for most Type 2 it makes little difference if the Carbs are low GI or high GI - it is the total carbs that hits your Blood Glucose either sooner or a bit later!

If you are type 2 then Carbs are your enemy and Fat is your friend! Thus many of us getting good results on Bloog Glucode and on weight loss with a 'no hunger' Low Carb High Fat (moderate Protein) diet !
But if you are serious get/use a Blood Glucose meter to see which foods work best for you, since we are all different.

I am the original thread poster and am prediabetic. @Severe_Needle_phobia came in to the thread further down and their signature says they are type 2.
