When people who know nothing about the LCHF diet tell me I'm killing myself being on it. I was killing myself not being on it!
I bought a bottle of biona Organic cider vinegar with the mother (is that like yeast, there is always some of the batch before in the yeast?). I read somewhere that apple cider vinegar was good for stopping liver dump. Do any of you take it and if you do what do you mix it with? I presume I drink it at bedtime?

I also got some coconut vinegar, with the mother too. I thought I would add that to salads as a dressing - I hope I like it as at £5 for a 250ml bottle I think Highland Park whisky is cheaper!

There are quite a lot threads about cider vinegar, It is very nasty if you have it neat so add water when taking it and clean teeth afterwards as no good for teeth.. The various literature is not clear cut if it works or not as is anecdotal comments - see previous thread called apple cider vinegar in the forum filed in diabetes management/ alternative treatments . Seems to work with some people not others . I found a bit of difference bit never sure if it was significant or not .
Never tried coconut vinegar so cannot comment

There was something on 'Trust Me I'm a Doctor' a few months back, seemed to indicate that it slows carb take up.
I use it as a salad dressing, with basalmic and olive oil. I can also swig it neat:eek: its an aquirred taste

For the last week I've been taking 2tsp mixed in a glass of water at bedtime (hold nose and swallow quickly - yuk!) - no noticeable difference to FBG over this last week

I've experimented with this for a while, I thought I'd actually got used to the taste, but no, its still a "hold your nose and chug it down" moment for me . I have noticed no effect on my blood sugar.
