Bacon smoked or Unsmoked

My butcher used to have the most fantastic thick cut, streaky bacon in both smoked and unsmoked. 1 rasher was about 30cm (a foot) long as was all you needed. Sadly the supplier went belly up last year and the replacement is nowhere near as good (even he agrees) but he's got to stock something
