As title. Found them in tesco. Noodles made with konjac flour.

No fat, (0.1)
no carb (0.9g/100g)
Sugars (0.1)
Fibre (3.9)

So I'm going to give them a go tonight for dinner.

2 quid for 250g.

I really like them but you need to rinse to get rid of fishy smell however no fishy taste whatsoever.
Warning don’t freeze left overs they go chewy!
Sainsburys have on offer at 1.50 at moment

Wow. Every day is a school day. As someone who makes a lot of Chinese style food this is a real bonus for me.
There are various konjac / shiritaki noodles, rice and pastas. Ocado and (I believe) holland & barret have them on a half price offer at the moment

Konjac is seen as a health food in japanese aan some other easter cultures for centuries - this is a summary from a Wester perspective

You might want to try Oomi Noodles, Sainsbury's and others sell them, they are made with fish protein rather than Konjac but don't smell or taste fishy. I think they are much better, although a small portion of ordinary egg noodles might be ok if you test.

May sound silly but tolerating a small amount of this and that depresses me. Tonight's dinner was a lovely blow out with pork noodles etc. Approx 20g carbs all told for the 3 of us.

Better that than an itty bit of something I used to eat several times a week. That seems like a perverted form of self torture.

Hi @Spl@, You do not mention protein content. With very little carbs, no fat and some fibre they do not, at first sight, seem much of a food !!

They are made from a largly indigestible vegatable corm / root and are full of soluble fibre. They act as a very good fibre source and flavouless carrier for sauces / stir fries etc for a low carb, low cal, high fibre meal

Didn't mention it cos its all but zero. But drenched in a thick chop suey style sauce, cabbage (cut thin) sugar snaps, baby corn, peppers, onion, mushrooms and some stir fried pork it's delicious.

Even if it is filler. That's all egg noodles are and they are 70% carb.

Diet drinks - the artificial sweeteners taste vile.
Having to forswear foods I have loved all my life.
Trying to find low carb meals when eating out.
Tried them but thought there was no flavour and an unpleasant texture.
I can manage without noodleish things under those circumstances.

Had some yesterday with a beef and veg stir fry along with bean sprouts. Splashed a few drops of soy sauce on the noodles. Was rather a tasty and low carb meal.
