Thanks Donnelly, will buy that book. Still awaiting the other book I ordered.
It may be easier when I have something to refer to instead of asking stupid questions on here.
Scottie, I promice once you get your head around this new way of eating .. You will feel better .. Have more enegy .. And be able to do so much more ....

No worries scottie, your doing well!! :Thanks Clive, will buy some of them, Or, should I say, I will send hubby for them.
Going to try this weekend and see how I go. Think I may make a list of what I eat on here if people don't mind,

How on earth is Heniz soup so high in carbs. I could eat veg soup but not at about 12g.
Have you looked at Carbs & Cals? It is a book you can order from Amazon. Not very expensive and worth every penny. It has colour photos of every food you can think of. The food is shown on a plate, so you can see at a glance how much of the plate is filled. It gives the weight of the item, plus the number of carbs, calories, fat, protein and fibre in that item as shown. I could not have managed without mine when I first started, and I still use it now. There is also a smaller book and an app for phones, but neither are as good as the book.
I make homemade lasagne with courgettes....(zucchini). We have a spiraliser that is well used formaking meals look more.
The zucchini lasagne can be frozen and you wouldn't know its not pasta if it was served in a restaurant. It's truly yummy.
.
Providing you can slice the courgettes really thinly, bake tbe sluces in oven and then layer in kitchen towel prior to actually making the lasagne-yes. Courgettes have huge amount if water in and will make the lasagne awful otherwise. It really tastes like pasta? i suppose the recipe is on here somewhere?![]()

Naah, my recipe not on here because I have to google zucchini lasagne every time I make it. I normally bake 2 huge dishes and cut up into 16 portions and freeze, courgettes are homegrown so I tend to make constantly for 3 months and freeze.
Thanks, 2nd on google's list, a low carb recipe for it, will give that a go![]()
It might help if you list what you've typically been eating before joining here, not just bread, pots, rice etc but what you have with them, and then we could hopefully suggest some ways of substituting / changing things?
And hope you don't mind me saying, but if you go to the shop yourself the exercise will help too![]()
Can you post this on yogurt and berries, taI delayed responding to this post. I went and bought some Fage last night. It's ok but it's not a patch on Manor Farm Smooth and Creamy. Do please source this product and try it. It's made at Thrussington in Leicestershire. I believe Waitrose may be stocking it. If so, could be under their own label. Once you have tried Maor Farm you'll be hooked it's so rich. It's one of the things that I really look forward to each day.
I don't mind you saying at all. The only problem is the nearest supermarket is a drive away and I can't drive.
If I didn't hurt so much, it would be much easier to excercise. I have something that begins with FY and I take lots of Gabapentin for it, I have had this for approx. 5 months.
Tomorrow though, I am washing down all my walls - they are just painted and there are 3 flights of stairs, one dining room, 2 landings, one dining room, 7 doors and one living room. I am actually looking forward to it.
