No, that's a really good thought and moving around is another really good way to keep bloods downI need to get off the sofa every time I want a drink etc. instead of asking hubby or the children to get it for me.

Well honestly if I can do this .. You can ! I do have the wife cooking and inventing dinners for me .. But I am vegetarian .. I also I was the most inactive person on the planet .. Also when you get the LCHF eating right you loose weight without being hungrey .. The wife used to say .. Think of all the high carb foods as being toxic .. Would I eat washing powder .. Or boot polish .. No .. So why eat so many carbs.. It's all about getting it around your head .. If you eat high fat foods then your body is not needing to store fat .. If your not storing the fat then your weight will go down ....It does help, thank you.
Your weight loss is amazing and inspiring. I can't believe a low carb way of eating can result in such good weight reduction.
I hope to emulate your weight![]()
Nooooooooooooooooooo...... Never hide the TV remote .. That's going to far .. But could leave it on the table over the other side of the room .. Or as the wife will do and leave it in the kitchen .. The TV is in the living room ... !!!!Hide the TV remote...even better!!
Is there a limit to how much of the above foods I can eat? Everything in moderation I suppose.
It's quite hard when it has been drilled into you that any fat is bad for you, isn't it?
I feel quite excited!
Good point Sue, I buy Asda smart price porridge, very cheap. I cook it in a saucepan with water.Hi Scottie,
Sorry to hear you have been having such a bad time. But being here and getting support from others is the best way to move forward.
I have a small suggestion that others may not agree with, but worth a go? I note you are having lots of sachets of porridge. As a small change have you thought about making porridge from scratch with oats? The sachets might contain lots of hidden sugar, plus they do something to the oats that means they are not as low GI as plain porridge oats. It might be something that helps a bit without being too radical. If you have a big Tesco near you, they do large bags of Mornflake oats really cheap, and they are nice and creamy. I stick mine in the microwave for 3 mins in the mornings and add berries.

As long as I have my stroll with the dog after, its ok. However sunday we had a heavy frost so could not walk the dog, bad news reading was up after 2 hours.
So Scottie, test, and test to see what works for you.

Its a learning curve , but i have to say your off and running well done scottie! So having 2 x sachets of porridge with semi skimmed is using a lot of carbs, even minus the porridge, Interesting.
