blood sugar level

I'm type 2 and taking 500mg metformin daily. I have a meter but have been told not to take levels and I haven't done so. However, I drinking a lot, urinating a lot and finally took a reading this morning and it was 29.9!! I think I should go straight to the doctor, do you agree?

Yes, a trip to the GP is best. But also for the future I would suggest a read around the forum and maybe a diet change if you haven't already done so?
 
Once you have been to the doctor. Make sure you come back to the site and you will find by asking questions where you are going wrong.

Hi and sorry to hear about the high bs. Yes, go to the GP. Hopefully this will prove to the GP the stupidity of telling you not to test when you have your own meter. Are you overweight or slim? What sort of diet do you have. Let us know how you get on with the GP.
