Hi All. I am type 2 on Metformin 4x500mg per day, linagliptin 1 daily and most recently put on glicazide as my HBA1c went from 63 in Dec to 78 beginning of March.
The nurse has given me a blood glucose monitor as I’ve been put on glicazide. I have only had the meter since Wednesday and testing before breakfast, lunch and evening meal, all the readings have been above 11 I’ve yet to have one under. Appreciate it’s only been 4 days but wanted to ask if this is something I should be speaking to the DN about or wait for my next set of HBA1c bloods in June?
Appreciate your time reading

In june you were at 67, so it looks like you have been fluctuating around 70 for a while, sometimes a bit higher, sometimes a bit lower.

An hba1c of 78 means an average blood glucose of about 12, fitting with your meter readings, and not something which has come on suddenly, based on your hba1c.

Have you adjusted your way of eating because of your diabetes?
A lot may be gained there, depending on what you eat.

By all means contact them, but seeing as you've been having numbers like these for quite a while, it's not like an emergency. If you are motivated to take action though, I'd see if you can get a review earlier than june.
