Body analyser scales

Does anybody have experience of smart scales?
Thinking of getting one but have become a bit boggled by reviews, specs and so on, all input welcome
 
Ours have that feature if they are tapped and then held until the right number comes up.
It can be very helpful to show improvement in lean mass even if there is no loss in weight.
 
i have the fitbit which is about 3 years old

the best feature is the syncing to the app, it then is easy to keep track of gain/loss

it does have the body analyser, which i think is fairly accurate compared to my estimates but can be affected by dehydration
 
I have the Bluetooth Body Analysis scales and have been using for about 7 weeks. Also has a free app. Much better than just flat weight. Can be erratic on some days but easy to see the trend on Body Fat and Muscle Composition as you build the data. It was quite inexpensive at around 30 dollars Australian and very easy to use

I use some for work as a PT that involve hand held sensors as well as the lower body part. They cost £75 approx. The most useful measure for diabetics IMO is the visceral fat one.

I also take circumference measures for a quick proxy for this and re measure after 6 weeks.
It is handy not only to see progress but also to compare against norms for the relevant sex/age categories.
As I always say it isn't as accurate as body pod or possibly calipers but if used at a decent interval and at similar times of the day, could be far more useful than just weight scales!

I'd say worth the expense

As a one shot look...as good as any other scales.

But for keeping an eye on trend, g body metrics.
Much better then plain old scales.

Not sure if mine hate me but they did scare the pants off me at first with the level of data and "danger"

But I guess it made me take notice.

Quite nice to the see the improvement over time.

Mine Bluetooth to phone so makes a nice chart to look back on.

But do brace yourself if not in perfect health.
It can be rather brutally honest.
 
Thanks for the input, have purchased Renpho scale brand new for £15 and pleasantly surprised by the hardware and app etc.
 
I have the scale 700 from decathlon. Bluetooth, automatically enters the data into my iPhone Apple health. Counts water has body fat, so one salty meal will throw off the readings.
 
I bought an Honor Scale 2 - it has told me my body fat % is 40% which according to the internet is dangerously high. I weigh just under 10 stone, am 5'2" and fit a size 12 in trousers. Should I be worried?
