An awful lot.
Just been for my cardiac exercise test, passed with flying colours. At the start the nurse seemed a bit surprised she said gosh you are relaxed l guess this doesn't worry you.
To be honest no l was sure it was stress and out of control undiscovered type 2. now l have lot less stress and diet and exercise are going my way nothing to worry about

On the even better side my BP has gone down from 186/35 to 180/30

EDIT l should have put 130/80 down from 136/85 (sorry!)

no my bp for example is 106/65, the 180 is high but the 30 is basically weirdly low, but hey I'm no doctor :) i think normal is like 130/75 or something like that

my daughter is currently being investigated because of her low bp and its 80/44 at times but still not 30

I have to agree with Andy, I find the figures a bit odd. Not wanting to scare you
Are you sure it was 180/30?

The info below is taken from the main page here ...
  • The NICE target blood pressure level for people with diabetes is to achieve below130/80mmHg.
  • The NHS regard an ideal blood pressure reading as being below 120/80mmHg.
I do want to drop lower but am just chuffed l am down from what l was

I wonder if they have made a mistake MID, the Diastolic figure seems quite low and at the very least you'd feel light headed, on the other-hand the Systolic figure is the other way round and a bit too high......sorry!!!!!

That's a good drop MID,

I'm curious - what's considered hypotension i.e. too low?

My last test was 116/65

The second one is lower than I've seen for a while and that was after cycling to the hospital

Normal blood pressure is between 90/60 and 140/90. That is from NHS site. Anything below or above is hypo/hypertension.

Just had an interesting BP experience this morning.

Got up to do my morning BG test and basal dose, had a pee, felt fuzzy headed. BG test came back at 6.1, still fuzzy headed. Went back in the bedroom to sit down again and promptly fell over.

Sweating, fuzzy headed, HR elevated - cue a call to the DSN out of hours service, retest again, BG at 5.8, definitely not a hypo, doesn't sound diabetes related.

Meanwhile the blue light brigade have turned up, pulse now down to a sedate 60, ECG trace OK (apart from changes related to my exercise load), BP 100/60 so on the low side.

Basically put it down to postural hypotension, low BP ovenight while sleeping, jumped out of bed this morning and BP did not catch up in time, so I essentially fainted. First time it's been that extreme.

Complete one-off, feel absolutely fine now and no other illnesses around. Did three hours on teh bike yesterday.

Last time I had this happen was when I had a bout of food poisoning about twelve years ago.
