I personally love Whole Earth range of peanut butter. Smooth, crunchy, organic they're all great.
Only an option but in my opinion the best.

Hello @anderson3000 i tend not to need a snack on Lchf diet as usually full, however whenever the urge gets me I like a small bag of pork scratchings, a piece of cheese or even a boiled egg.

Hope this helps

Thanks Resurgam...may I ask, did you have a sweet tooth? Are/were you a foodaholic? If yes to either, what do you snack on nowadays? I am trying nut based snacks, mindful of their fat content, just trying things that aren't sugar based...but whilst I have been taking a bs ready once a day in the am to track my progress I have not gone down the path of checking after meals ...looks like I may have to.
Thanks also juicyj... my mini walberton seeded which tastes fab is 11.6 g carb s is that bad?
I have to say no to both questions, and I don't snack - though for a small meal I have celery and cream cheese, if that is something you might like.
At first I was checking before and after meals but reduced the checking to just evening meals as I got the same numbers for the first meal of the day and decided that I did not need to test any more.
Now I am not testing as I know what my numbers will be for just about all my usual meals, and my last results seem ti indicate that I am eating correctly now. To have the ability to test did make a big difference at first, as it showed be traight away what I should not eat.
Fat appears to be necessary as I was not losing weight until I added strawberries and cream after dinner. Low fat prevents weightloss, it seems

I don't snack at all. I don't feel the need. I have coffee and cream for breakfast, a lunch and an evening meal. Other than that I have a cup of tea morning and afternoon, and water. I am not deprived and very rarely hungry.

Hi , I'm type 2 diabetic trying to lose weight to get to pre diabetic...breakfast used to be walburtons mini seeded loaf with butter and marmite (one piece) ...experimenting with "full fat Greek yog" with multi seeds but have a sweet tooth....I've had it with diced peach which was lovely , tried it with no fruit and it wasn't really doing it for me...so.,,.the question is, which is best for you? A table spoon of honey, or maple syrup or some other fruit..... and overall is it better to go back to the toast ?
Any guidance will be greatly appreciated ....thanks
You will find on many food blogs they say no sugar recipe then use honey or some kind of syrup, for diabetics honey or syrup is the same as sugar. You are better staying with fruit. I am type 1.

Dear anderson3000 - YES ? NO ? DENIAL ! - that's the real killer. At least you know it and admit it. Try googling Guardian newspaper uk , look up the stories of Richard Doughty and Carlos Cervantes which inspired me .
As for ' sweet tooth ' ?
Grit those teeth and be determined to enjoy your Greek low sugar content yougurt as is ! You'll soon be loving it. Blueberry and Strawberry [ I read ] are good low sugar spike foods. Try some papaya or just slices of apple ? But if you can go for protein , why omelettes , bacon eggs etc are much better than carbs. Cheese and ham are great for snacks. I have found you enjoy what you DECIDE to enjoy. e.g A nice plate of boiled broccoli and cauliflower seasoned with zero calorie mustard [ I use Westbrae ] salt pepper and Knorr liquid...yum yum. Also I just read a paper by the guru PROF ROY TAYLOR which indicates that a high protein snack [ Breakfast ? ] eaten a couple of hours before lunch means that the lunchtime sugars are stabilised ie. rise more slowly after the meal. Oh yes - a kind of other '' snack '' is a hot cup of soup make with a stock cube and boiling water - so easy ....Or if you really really really wanna get rid of that hungry snacky feeling a glass of cold coke zero hits the spot ! Lots of luck.
