ok just to prove that exercise is bad for your BS :)

5.2 at 5:30pm - went for a 30 minute walk - then my sister came round with my 3 yr old nephew and asked me to babysit for an hour while she went to keep fit. Woohoo I thought. So I spent 45mins playing with him - he likes to play the chasing game, in that I have to run and he has to chase me around the whole of the house, up and down stairs with magic doughnuts that he throws at me to turn me into a monster who tries to eat him (don't ask he has a vivid imagination). At 7pm we sat down for dinner and my bloods were a 8.5!!! I was like OMG.

2 hours after dinner they were down to 6.3 lol

You are (at least MY exception) to the exercise rule. That might be the effort / energy expended? No way I'd do that Kezz but that's just me. Exercise yes, chasing down nephews? Forget it. Drop was great and jump wasn't that bad. Next time throw your own doughnuts or better still, eat 'em :)

Take care

Question.

Does anyone here have pan fried lambs liver and bacon? Twice recently I've had this and each time my bedtime level was 6 and fasting was also 6. (normally 5 to 5.4 at bedtime, and mid 5's fasting) Just wondering if it's the liver.

Hi Blue yes I do about once a week and find my readings quite a bit lower at 2 hr mark
I thought it was just down to the protein. Not usually a higher fasting though

Non high density lipoprotein is Non HDL. In other words all the bits and bobs in your lipids that are not HDL.

Non-HDL Cholesterol = Total Cholesterol – HDL cholesterol

above 220 mg/dL (5.7 mmol/L) is considered very high

190 – 219 mg/dL (4.9 – 5.6 mmol/L) is considered high

160– 189 mg/dL (4.1 – 4.8 mmol/L) is considered borderline high

130 – 159 mg/dL (3.4 – 4.0 mmol/L) is considered near ideal

below 130 mg/dL (below 3.4 mmol/L) is considered ideal for people at risk of heart disease

below 100 mg/dL (below 2.6 mmol/L) is considered ideal for people at very high risk of heart disease

Total Cholesterol/HDL ratio should be under 4

You have all your lipids there - HDL, LDL, and triglycerides

Your results are very good.. Well done, and excellent HbA1c in non diabetic range. :):):):):):):):):)

Thank you Bluetit, you go to so much trouble with all this information, it is much appreciated.

Fridays is Badminton night, early out always midnight before return, after a few drinks or would have posted earlier.

Thanks again
Neil
