Insulin to Administer. Also What App do
You Use ???

I suspect the vast majority of Type 1's have to count carbs to have any kind of control
Personally I don't use any apps, I just read what the packaging says or base it on learnt experience (when eating out) over the years

There were no apps when I was diagnosed, in fact there were no mobile phones, or even home blood glucose testing :)

Thank you. I do use the Carbs & Cals App which costs £[emoji6] a year
I also then use MyLife App - I type in blood sugars/ how many Carbs I am eating it then Calculates how much Insulin I need to take!! As I have all my Ratios set up to do this. It also keeps record how much Insulin I still on board !! Then when time for my Long lasting Insulin I input keep record. It keeps you on Track. The MyLife Appbis being discontinued end December that’s why I am asking What all Type
Diabetics Use.

I’ve never used rye my life app and I might get it as it sounds helpful and thank you fir letting me know about it.

I don't use apps. I just calculate the carbohydrate/insulin ratio in my head. I use different ratios for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I may have used pen and paper when I first started.

Been doing it for about 4yrs, using carbs and cals- started with a book, now use app, which is pretty good. Hardest bit is sometimes estimating size of portions

When I was diagnosed (1970 aged 8) I was given a blue book of carbs in proprietary foods, which I had (mostly) memorised relatively quickly. There was also a leaflet with carbs in things like apples/bread/potatoes. But I was very lucky in that my mother was already T1 so knew how to carb count so I was brought up as this being a standard thing to do. And yes we did it all in our heads - luckily I was always good at maths.

Now with the prevalence of modern technology I will google carb values and/or use the calculator on my laptop (if I'm feeling lazy).
