Hi im a newbie type 1, my Diabetes nurse advised me to get a book called Carbs and Cals by Chris Cheyette & Yello Balolia (i have it on order) just want to know is it good for Carb counting and is it worth getting ???

Yes, it's very good for counting carbs. Also gives a visual guide. As previous poster suggested, the app is also very good, and cheaper ;-)

It's really handy for looking stuff up in the house and the visual guide is great. Though too big really to be luggin around when visiting or out and about. I also bought the app for my phone, and mostly use it instead of the book now.

I also agree that it is good, easy to use and if your portion size differs from the one in the book the it is easy to use the info in the book to calculate how many carbs your meal has in it.
I have the app as well which is also useful
