Diagnosed type 2 last year. Take 1 Metformin a day as controlling by LCHF. I got fed up with boiled eggs for 10.00hrs breakfast so I've moved to having cheese because I love cheese. It seems to have curbed my appetite which is really good. I fill a small lunchbox with different cheeses and eat this throughout the morning. There's so much nonsence out there about you can eat this you can't eat that but I would like to know if anyone else eats lots of cheese or indeed if anyone has a view on this

Yes I eat lots of cheese. Not sure I have a view on it - it is low carb (some lower than others) but some find that too much protein causes blood glucose spikes.

Cheese is low to zero in carb content. I eat quite a lot of it as spreads and in omlettes. The spreadable/processed cheeses tend to be a bit higher in carbs.

I do eat stacks of veggies & I love chicken so I'm comfortable with that. At 61 I suppose its still looking for approval (myself) to eat cheese & not worry about piling on weight & heart attacks

Thank you all. I'm not (probably stupidly) too worried about my Diabetes but just sometimes it's good to let someone take your hand and give some reassurance. Thank you all again

To bend the lyrics of Ralph McTell. let us take you by the hand & lead you through the streets of cheeses...!

Or to quote Python. "Blessed are the cheese makers." :)

Poor grammar, bullying and drunks.
I've always said that I have never met a cheese I didn't like! I had to laugh once when I was watching a 'health' programme where they were saying that cheese can regulate the ph in the mouth and the presenter ended with saying "guidelines say that you should have no more than a matchbox size piece of cheese per day". I remarked that I eat more than that whilst preparing a cheese sandwich/omelette and I can be very heavy handed when making cheese on toast.
This was all before diabetes, since dx I have discovered other ways to eat it like grated cheese wrapped in a lettuce leaf or cubes with walnuts etc. Bring it on.

Edited to add. Boursin is 2g carbs per 100g and is lovely dotted on scrambled eggs or smeared on celery.

I was never a big fan of cheese... until LCHF, and now I can't get enough of the stuff. I have a couple of favourites - Lidl's own brand vintage, and their french brie-like St Paulin. I also love mozzarella, smoked cheese, and good old wensleydale.
One of my favourite "Saturday" lunches, is a plate with a noggin of each cheese on it, a few slices of apple, a few almonds, and a few baby tomatoes.

Not being on holiday....
I eat cheese every day and when the sun is over the yardarm I drink red wine with it.
I love it best on crackers with raw onion and/or pickles.
But I can eat it on its own I'm not fussy!
My local co-op does a somerset cheddar to die for.
My cheese on toast is legendary but only because of the amount of cheese I use.
I do cheesy jackets with bacon and is popular for the same reason.
I prefer dairylea with celery as its a bit softer than seriously strong spread cheese which I prefer with a tortilla but I require a knife to administer said cheese.
I couldn't be so lazy as to buy ready grated cheese as the fun is to grate it yourself very slowly and eat as much as possible before the bowl is full.

Did someone mention cheese??????

I don't drink wine but the cheese sounds wonderful. I'm so glad I put this up because I was worried, now I see there is no need to.
