Cholesterol results

Would one of you knowledgeable folk comment on the cholesterol results I got today ?

Plasma total cholesterol level = 3.9
Plasma Triglyceride level = 0.77
Plasma HDL cholesterol level = 1.4
Plasma LDL cholesterol level = 2.2
Total cholesterol:HDL ratio = 2.9

what does GFR calculated abbreviated MDRD = >90 ml/min/1.73m*2 mean ??

Looks like they're checking kidney function. See here :

Note

Normal GFR is approximately 100mls/min/1.73m2 but you will often see it reported as >90 ("more than 90") or >60.

So all looks ok.
Nothing wrong with those cholesterol figures. Go celebrate :thumbup:

NICE Guidelines
Target levels:
Total - below 5
HDL - above 1.4
Triglycerides - below 1.7 and the lower the better
LDL - below 3.

Total:HDL ratio - target is below 5:1, and preferably 3.5:1

So your results are absolutely perfect Swim, you met every single criteria, but more importantly your Trigs and your Total to Trig ratio are completely awesome.

What sort of diet have you been eating to get great results like this?

Double cream mainly

but also Bacon and Eggs, Butter, Salad, Sausages, lots of green veg... oh and the odd statin (sorry..)
