Which for a reindeer is really quite strange BUT when it's Panto Land....well, that's not at all unusual.... Rudolph was midway through dressing for rehearsals when he heard the Fruitbat & friends, Little Peter, Ice & Cream were on the way ...

The Giant Fruitbat landed safely and Ice, Cream, the tin man, the little woofter and Peter all got off the Giant Fruitbats back and all in unison said 'surprise'
Rudolph turned around and his big red shiny nose lit up in fact it was so shiny it almost blinded them
The little woofter was jumping around in excitement and Rudolph carried on dressing up as a panto dame
The Giant Fruitbat was into panto too and volunteered to dress up in panto too and donned a flamboyant sequinned dress
Rudolph asked the Giant Fruitbat what his shade of glossy red lipstick was as he fancied having bright red lips to match his big shiny nose
Then bells could be heard jingling in the distance and they all turned around to see.....

Come fly with me ..

They were off to the moon, they didn't need to wear masks as the carpet was surrounded with a bubble of air so they wouldnt need helmets. They were going to visit the moomins, who live on the moon. As they neared the moon........tbc
They flew to the moon via Russia and Poland ..
Luckily there were blankets in the big giant chest .. which carried all flight essentials ..
They all made themselves very warm ..
The Tim man handed out mugs of hot soup ..
Ice and course didn't feel the cold ...
He was very excited about the meeting the moomins ..
It was like a fantastic adventures .. a dream Ice had never really thought possible ..
Ice wondered if the moomins would invite them to their
Valley for high tea .. cream , reading his mind said yes they would get to the valley for tea ..

In all the excitement of meeting a Moomim, they had forgotten the left turn at Poland and on to Finn territory where these creatures dwell.
Entering Russian airspace, the feeling of warm soup subsided as the group realised they had company in the form of three Russian fighter jets.
"Oh my!" Said the tin man, the thought occurring to him that the average Russian won't see the funny side of a reindeer in drag... "I got a bad feeling about this. I believe we are being invited to land."

They were enveloped in a cloak of invisibility.....and somehow they heard, and understood, the confusion this had caused the Russian jet pilots....where are they? where have they gone?
They all relaxed a little and continued towards the moon....Little Peter, the dog, wondered if the Soup Dragon would be up there with the Clangers.....he wanted to meet them (and he was hungry again)

Little Peter was a tin soldier, a nutcracker in a ballet....he'd never been to the ballet nor been able to dance...he needed to be well oiled to dance..

But the dream, in the way that dreams do....faltered and changed and he was suddenly being crushed, crumpled....he was becoming scrap metal.....he awoke with a start......

... Just in time to see a police officer walking around him. A disembodied crackly voice bleated from the radio transmitter on the copper's lapel. His familiar high visibility jacket had a strange eerie glow in the un-ozone filtered sunlight which seemed to reflect from everywhere. "No registered keeper. No tax, insurance or MOT." Beep bop. As the transmission ended in a condemning tone.
The police man hissed a sigh & said "right son. Looks like we're towing you in!"
"On what grounds?" pleaded The penguin. The copper looked the birds squarely in the eye and barracked "carful now, you're skating on thin ice."
"No we're not."Cream argued. "It's just the low gravity."
The policeman looked unfazed. Then with a flourish as he filled out a document said, "this vehicle will be inpounded & crushed."... Tbc.....

But it was OK, because the flight by this time was at night.
The Stars navigated their course & as the temprature rose the all felt a Christmassy glow of mulled wine and roasted chestnuts..
"Look there's a black hole". said Ice. "Let's rest & let the immense gravity pull us in."

And with that thought they landed with a thump....well at least they thought so.....until they rubbed their eyes and saw the Soup Dragon looking at them...."hope you enjoyed your naps chaps...magic mushrooms and triple mature cheddar cheese soup can give you the most incredibly real dreams....."
They rolled up their carpet, said their goodbyes and went off in search of Wallace & Gromit .... they'd heard they'd just landed and we're hoping to hitch a lift to Lapland once their mission was complete....W&G's that is....

they all wanted to go to Lapland for Christmas but it was too far to walk. Cream was just beginning to wonder if they would have to walk all the way there when .... tbc

Glenda the good witch apeared and with a self satisfied smile outshined by a passively smug gleam in the eye told them they were in Lapland all along..
& with a wave of her wand announced that Cream was "with child". & would lay the ruby egg of the chosen bakers dozen!
Deep joy all round as the group set about building a nest for the new arrival....

The group did indeed freeze..
The roar was like a diesel four by four. The beast ground to a halt in a cloud of dust & out popped four heads.
Two heads had a single protruding glass eye each, one head was holding aloft some strange grey furry sausage like beast on a stick. Possibly a trophy from a previous hunt?
The fourth head wore a wide brimmed hat with the side brim turned up..
"My goodness!" Exclaimed the tin man. "It's all right, it's just a BBC wildlife film crew...."

"Ohh.. I wonder who they are going to be filming, it can not be us. We are not wildlife" said Ice. But it was them the team had come to film! "G'day" said the man in the hat, "Wotcha all of you" he said with a strange accent, "We would like to film you if you don't mind"
