Does anyone who uses code free strips have any issue with accuracy . Thinking of changing from wavesense jazz to this because of price of strips , but heard some stories about accuracy problems . Also got any coupon codes
 
I use a Code Free monitor which I got from amazon, at the moment I'm pre-diabetic and dieting to try and control it. I need some more test strips, but there're a bit pricey. Can anyone help me out with discount codes?
 
The most popular meters for self funding T2's are the Codefree and the Tee2+ because the strips are much cheaper than other meters, and you need a lot of strips. You can't buy them in pharmacies.

There are accuracy problems with most makes. According to Dr Bernstein, the only firm making reliable meters and strips is Abbott, but they are very expensive. Accuchek has it's faithful adherents but I've never felt sure enough to pay the extra for those strips. I'm just hoping the disposable patch CGMs which are already being developed will be on sale soon, and finger pricking will be history.

I would say that the Codefree is not worse for accuracy than the TEE2, but that's not saying much!
 
I used it for 4 years so far. Bought a testing solution for it and it was accurate. They are cheap on Amazon.co.uk
 
I suspect this new 100 test strips from Amazon I am using are probably 10% more sensitive than the last lot.
I would suggest before you run out, start using your new strips in parallel with your old ones to see if there is a consistent difference in one direction. Thats what I shall do next time.

I have used the same Codefree meter for some years now.

I'm not sure how the 100 strips offer on Amazon compares to the 500 strips offer with discount from Home Health.

I agree, the cheapest way to buy Code Free stuff is direct from Home Health. The strips work out at £5.98 per tub of 50 using the discount codes.
