i used to really love a cup of tea and when i worked 12.5 hour nights (4 on / 4 off) i think it was the hourly pint size mugs (with semi skimmed milk) that kept me sane. Then, feeling rubbish with a BG test of 28.9, I got put on to insulin and started regular testing with my meter. I couldn't understand why my BG was going up and down all night (but in an generally upwards direction) despite me eating what i thought was a suitable diet for a diabetic. Turned out the night time high readings while I was at work was due to the milk in the tea. I haven't had a cup of tea since because (to me) it tastes all wrong without skimmed or semi skimmed.
Nothing
The thing is we are all different, some of us can tolerate milk carbs and some can't. I wish I could.
