I know it won’t necessarily be accurate but just want to see as a guideline.
Been looking on Google for ages but can’t find anything that works.
Does anyone know what 8.0 is on hba1c?
And does anyone have link to a good converter calculator?
Thanks

There's one on this site:

https://www.diabetes.co.uk/hba1c-to-blood-sugar-level-converter.html

An average blood sugar reading of 8 would equate to an HbA1C of 49
This one converts from hba1c to average blood sugar

Looks like 8 is around 49?
Great thank you. I’ve seen that one before but could never get it to work.
That’s brilliant news. may actual hba1c is likely to be higher because I don’t always test but hopefully below 60 which is the last level.

I found this helpful for me to understand where i am but not sure if thats what your looking for

Just for fun:
Taking my Contour Next meter's latest 90 day average finger prick test result of 6.3mmol/L
I got:
I'm waiting to contact surgery for my actual HbA1c figure from last week's (annual) blood test, but from previous experience I'd expect about 40ish....

ETA Phoned surgery this afternoon for result which is somewhat better than I'd predicted, and has now been added to my signature. :)

I've used our diabetes.co.uk HbA1c converter and also an Accu-Chek version here: https://www.accu-chek.co.uk/tools-and-resources/hba1c-calculator#

My Contour meter can calculate various averages from my test results including a 90 day one, which I use occasionally with one or other of those converters, and both consistently predict slightly lower than my actual HbA1c results.
My meter does link to phone and give averages over how many days you want.
It’s more that if I go higher in the day and I don’t test it won’t catch it. The hba1c will not not the meter.
