I do not have diabetes
Having just been diagnosed prediabetic I'd like to start as I would hope to go on and get to grips with the food aspect.
Books you recommend, hints and tips will be welcome.

Dr Jason Fung The Diabetes Cookbook
Recipes by Alison Maclean

There’s also loads on info on Diet Doctor or:

Loads of info and recipes available without paying the subscription :)

My favourite book to date is The Diabetes and weightloss cookbook. You can get a copy for about £5 on ebay - great recipes in this book too, lots of colourful visuals and info that is clear and easy to understand.

Mod edit to remove content irrelevant, which derailed thread.

I’ve bought 3 books by Katie & Giancarlo Caldesi, they have restaurants in Bray, Bucks and London. Giancarlo developed diabetes and he’s a chef. They have quite a few books on Amazon, which is where I bought mine. I‘ve found that no one caters for diet controlled diabetes!!
These books are really nice, I made a dessert last evening, very simple and I did add some tinned peaches without their juice/syrup, would have made it a little higher carb but in my opinion it was worth it.

Apologies for derailing the thread! I think what's happened is that i didn't read the title :-( lesson learned :-)

This is a cookery book I've recently added to my collection and it really is excellent, not just for diabetes but for healthy eating in general. Lots of great recipes and info. Very colourful too which I love.

I've added the link to Amazon for further info - you can buy cheaper elsewhere. I purchased mine from ebay for under £5
