I probably wasn't clear enough. I meant more the aim for lower than for those without diabetes. As was said earlier, levels okay for someone without diabetes were a bit high but what you said likely links into that. Getting that sweet spot so not too high or too low and making sure drugs aren't forced on usDeaths linked to diabetes are mostly due to heart disease and strokes, the risk of these is reduced with lower blood pressure.
I have never been told that I should aim for lower, maybe I've never been in a position where my levels are seen as a problem.
