Where are the Nightingales that were created at enormous expense?
Yes very useful, I am interested what they don't show, that a couple of these graphs hint at. My understanding is that the younger ones started the bulk of the second spread, along with inputs from eat out to help out and cumulative other inputs, which has progressed to the more vulnerable groups. What I would like help with is is for the number of deaths per day what is the age breakdown - I think this is the critical path.
The Nightingales are there, fully equipped. However, they need staff. The staff have to be taken from hospitals, leaving shortages in hospitals and elsewhere, which leads to cancellation of other medical procedures.
You sure about that?
Odd that half of those graphs are "estimates" or "projections"Not agreeing or disagreeing with the below article but felt it's information might promote an interesting discussion on this thread.

We are not shutting down the country based on positive test results alone. We are shutting down because the number of people in hospital with Covid-19 is doubling every 2 weeks (approximately) and it will not be long before the NHS is overwhelmed.
Great thanks. This cements my personal assessmentWeekly death figures by age and sex "from" COVID are available at the ONS website

Exactly Nightingales are not sitting there waiting to be used..Did you read that before you posted it? It's in use for radiology outpatients so it's not being staffed by skilled ICU specialists.

I wish there were double the amount of age filters e.g 45 -55. My reading of what is there (in the context of the standard UK health status) is that those who are 65 years and above need to be given extra protection, those who are 45 plus should be very careful and everyone else mindful.
And of course attempt to get more metabolically healthy for all ages.

Excel I believe has been decommissioned as a hospital.
And tough luck for those like me who have been trying to be metabolically healthy for years and not managed to get there. I know, 'low hanging fruit' best to let them fall so everyone else can get on with their lives. And of course attempt to get more metabolically healthy for all ages.
What do you mean "exactly". Talk about moving goalposts.
There are not enough ICU staff for effective Covid management, there never were.

Not at all.. hopefully you are staying as safe as you can.And tough luck for those like me who have been trying to be metabolically healthy for years and not managed to get there. I know, 'low hanging fruit' best to let them fall so everyone else can get on with their lives.

I had it 8 months ago. They are saying that immunity only lasts for a few months. I am metabolically less healthy now than I was pre Covid-19, plus my heart and brain continue to be affected by long covid. I am now on beta blockers. I am scared of getting it again. Not at all.. hopefully you are staying as safe as you can.
But as you've had it already and should have immunity then you should be fine?
I agree, but we both know that won't happen. Not sure anyone is saying that. I can't speak for @bulkbiker but my own opinion is that government would serve the nation better by encouraging properly healthy nutrition instead of promoting high grain, high fructose diets and then locking us up when we get sick.
