Hi, I’ve been T2 diabetic for a number of years. For the past 10 years I’ve used Insulin and Tablets to control my blood glucose levels.
I drive a car and in order to comply with the DVLA conditions; this has resulted in a substantial increase in the number of times I have to test my b/g levels each day.
I’ve noticed that the tips of my fingers are “rough “ and I’m finding it more difficult to perform these tests; sometimes 8 times a day. If my level is less than 5.1, I then have to perform a further 2 tests in order to comply with the DVLA conditions.
Recently, someone mentioned that there’s a new method of checking b/g levels without having to prick your fingers. Has anyone heard of, or, is currently using this new method?
Any advice / comments are welcomed.
