Diabetic Id

I have an ID tag from Medic Alert.

My dad signed me up for a life membership when I was first diagnosed, but thankfully I've never needed it in over 40 years.

I have necklace and a card in my wallet.

Mind you I'm weird!

Got mine from Medicaid as well.

Hi, I used to have a stainless steel bracelet, but after an op I never found it again ?? but teen was always saying to me to get another one, and I said I have plenty of cards in purse and bag, but I received a free one last week from Diabetes research Wellness foundation. It is a necklace and I can slip it over my head easily without fiddling with a clasp. Male or female could wear it.

Best wishes RRB

I have a medic alert bracelet and two cards in my purse, one is "In an Emergency etc" and the other is the Insulin passport showing what type of Insulin I'm taking.

Some considerable time ago there was a thread from someone on the theme that there seemed to prejudice in the community towards diabetics. I suggested we establish Diabetes Pride and all wear an ID thing of our choice to show solidarity.

I bought a rubber wrist band for that purpose only since I never intended to buy one otherwise. Funny thing is I never took it off again.

I have a Medic Alert bracelet which I wear all the time. I also have their card in my purse.

Rubber wristband that has my info on the inside and medical alert on outside. I don't take it off. Hopefully it will never need to be used, but could save me.

I got mine from http://www.theidbandco.com/ and went for Customisable Silicone Bracelet. Very pleased with it. Looks like it should last better than a cheapo version.

Many pharmacies have pamphlets and some small family run shops might have a necklace or wristband in store, that's where I got my last one from ( but after an Op I couldn't find it anywhere) so now have a necklace which I received free.
