Diabetics R Us

Thanks @Bluetit1802. Now I have a picture in my head of you keeping a well behaved, very pretty, but very hairy woman with a funny accent locked up in your shed with your goats.
And I'm about to go to sleep. So don't blame me should I dream of you and your funny ways.

edit: And yes, I know you said sheep. But my brain insists it's goats in that shed with the loyal woman.

Ach! Meine Ziege!

Evening all

A little mullered here. Watching Soft Cell on BBC4 atm - brilliant, bringing back my youth

I'm glad she arrived OK and is doing fine with your other dogs. She didn't look huge in her photo, so I bet that was a "big" surprise!

Evening folks

Had a really good declutter today. I can now get to the window in the airing cupboard :D
Did a lovely tea of roast chicken with fine beans, shallots & almonds DD couldn't get it in quick enough :hilarious::hilarious:

Hope you're all having a good weekend.

H :)

I baked some chicken tenders today, some with lime juice, some with honey mustard, a couple plain for the KittenCat. I like playing around with ways to add different flavors to chicken.

I think Storm Freya is searching for her Norse roots. Someone needs to tell the silly wench that they are not buried under my gaff!

Over here we have hurricanes and winter storms with names. Summer storms don't get names. Instead of names like Hurricane Billie Jo and Winter Storm Stevie, I think they should give storms names like Hurricane Vlad the Impaler and Tornado Ivan the Terrible.

Here's the list of names for the Australian tropical cyclones from the BOM, the names are male then female. We are up to Savannah for the next one this year.

Last week we had TC Oma which was named by the Fijian weather mob, that came within 500 Klms east of Bundaberg before backtrackin into oblivion.

This time last year we had 'The Beast from The East', not a storm as such but dontcha jus' love the name? :)

Well, I'm off to the land of nod, g'night everyone, sleep well.

Morning folks

Yesterday started off great with breakfast out.

Alan's seconded job has now been made permanent and he has to have a company car so he did a We Buy Any Car quote for our little Nissan Pixo as it won't be needed any more, got a favourable quote, took it to their local office and sold it - all within 4 hours! So that was good.

After that the day went slightly downhill for me - bad belly struck (I think I had too many mushrooms with breakfast) but sadly we went to son & DIL's for dinner and I couldn't eat anything :(.

Anyway I was feeling fine by the time we got home and starting to feel hungry but didn't eat anything as it was too late.

Breakfast tasted great this morning :hungry:

Have a good day.

H

I'm glad you are feeling better, @heh . I had a bad belly strike late yesterday but thankfully it got better before bedtime.

Thanks. I did have some sharp pains mid morning today but came to nothing luckily.
Glad your bad belly subsided too, must have been the day for it yesterday

It's midnight in the Netherlands so it's my birthday! Party will be next saturday, so I'll probably mess up with diabetes then, but no reason not to stick a candle in a diabetic friendly midnight snack tonight :)
It's my 42nd, so I fully expect to find the answer to life, the universe and everything sometime in the next year!
