I haven't posted on this forum for about 2 years. Back then my hba1c was 44 and then went down to 37.
I was caring for my elderly brother for over 12 months as his wife had passed away, so my low carb diet was pushed to one side.
What a shock I got when i went for my hba1c 18th May and the results came back as 69. I then saw the DN on 6th July and had another hba1c test and kidney function test. The DN wanted to put me unto one tablet a day, also statins as my cholesterol is out of normal range. She didn't say what it was.
Do you think that 7 weeks is long enough to lower my BG to below 60?
I tested it on my glucose monitor yesterday getting a result of 6.5 mmol. That was 3 hours after food.
