Have a read through this thread, it’s where some members post daily on what they’ve eaten, it may give you some ideas

Also google a site called Diet Doctor it has lots of recipes and ideas & meal plans that are low carb & keto

If I recall you are on Gliclizide, anyone on this medication needs to be careful of dropping carbs too low and causing hypos, make sure you test at first bite and 2 hours after first bite to make sure your not going to low

One of the things that works for us (me ~20g/day, Mrs A no limits) is meal planning. I batch cook a lot and usually try to ensure that we don't eat exactly the same thing two days running. What I do is to alter sauces - so take a roast chicken, have half of it on day one with some roasted veg, day two lamb and spinach curry, day three the other half chicken but in a mushroom/garlic/cream sauce, day four left over lamb curry, day five poached salmon. Almost all the cooking work can be done on day one, which helps.

What are you eating at present? I have a number of keto cookery books so I might be able to offer some ideas. Then there is the diet doctor website which also has a lot of food ideas.
Breakfast:

A week of ideas from one book:
Breakfast:
Waffles with raspberry quark-style cheese
Almond Pancakes with sour cherry compote
Quark Flatbread with chocolate spread
White coffee smoothie
Salami Omelette
Crunchy nut muesli
Avocado with smoked salmon mousse.

Lunch:
Courgette Omelette with serrano ham
Chicken nuggets with baked tomatoes
Moussaka
Cheese tortillas with guacamole
Tomato and red pepper soup with parmesan crisps
Beef soup

Those are from one week eating plan, there are 4 weeks in the book but some recipes overlap.

All the recipes are cooked from scratch so the chicken nuggets for example use ground almonds as a coating. I'm not saying I've tried them all or even very many. I eat quite plainly but re-reading some of the recipes has got me thinking maybe I need to be more adventurous. There are another 3 weeks of ideas in the book although some of the recipes are repeated.
Good luck.

Today is a bit unusual as I've been travelling and driving for about four/five hours. Context is we've been away for a week on a family holiday and I have been a bit more relaxed on carbs than usual, which for me basically meant more alcohol, rather than chips and pies.

So today:

7am Coffee about half a moka pot with cream.

1130 3 fried eggs plus the whites of two more (someone doesn't eat egg whites), bacon (lots), mushrooms, black pudding, sausage. Sausage was good but a bit suspect on carbs and probably had far more filler than I'd choose if I was at home. More coffee, large black. Maybe 20g carb, mainly from the black pudding.

3pm another black coffee

Got home about 4, have had a can of coke zero. Done with caffeine now.

I'm not hungry at the moment and might not eat again today. If I do decide to eat anything substantial I would have a SRSLY 6g carb wrap with leftover roast lamb and chili sauce (unsweetened, it's basically mashed up chillis in olive oil). If I have something less than a meal it would probably be some salami, olives and cheese (I have some really good stuff from the Mousetrap in Ludlow).

So even with the lamb wrap I am probably on or around my 20-25g daily target, maybe a bit above. I hadn't bothered testing at all today as the adrenalin from driving was going to make too much noise for sensible readings.

To give you a fuller picture I just did a fingerprick and it's at 5.3, which is where I usually am, and I'm showing weak ketones, which is again what I'd expect. Thing to remember is that I have been doing this for over five years now and my system is used to it, and much better at dealing with a bit of extra carb than it was. It's also better at switching out of ketosis for a few hours and switching easily back in.

Update: it's going to be some cheese and olives and salami.

No issue with most (all?) UK bacon as far as carbs go. My low carb "bread" is good fried in the bacon fat.

I have seen bacon that's been soaked in a sugar solution, generally maple syrup flavoured. More common in the US where they also do pork sausages that have sugar added.

I order from SRSLY. https://srslylowcarb.com/

There are others but it's years since I used any of them. @lovinglife - which do you use?

Unless you're in Hemel Hempstead, it's mail order only. It's not cheap compared to supermarket bread but if you take out a subscription they do discount and free postage. At the minute there's a "first order" discount as well, not sure how much.

I usually get some sort of combination of the rolls, the "not cross buns" - basically a fruit bun without much fruit - the wraps and the bagels. The bagels are very good, the wraps and buns are fine, and the rolls are OK. They'll freeze and they keep for about three weeks in the fridge. The rolls are a bit stale in the third week usually, but toast or fry OK.

Thanks for the tag @KennyA, I use The Low Carb Food Co. As I prefer their bread & rolls & they do a really good pizza base

But I also use SRSLY as they have some different products such as the amazing bagels & the little bite size croissants & the wraps Like @KennyA says they are premium prices for all these products but I always think they are worth it

If you do your own baking, there are a few bread recipes about that are low carb. If I am using yeast, I make keto king bread. 2.2gms carbs a slice and uses wheat gluten, oat bran and flaxseed. Here is a link to a previous post concerning low carb bread https://www.diabetes.co.uk/forum/threads/keto-king-bread-recipe-shared-tips.176761/. As an alternative I tend to make bread using almond flour. The recipe I like comes from Giancarlo Caldesi "The Diabetes Weight loss cook book." https://www.caldesi.com/best-low-carb-bread-recipe-ever/ It uses almond flour, psyllium husk and eggs. Hope the info is useful.
