Difficulty Reaching Climax

Messages

Hello, i have had sex for the past 3 nights now and have not been able to reach climax for all 3 nights (RIP) this has also occurred with oral sex in the past. However when i masturbate i can normally reach climax pretty easily, under 10 minutes, please help!

Has anything changed when masturbating? If that's the same as before it doesn't seem physical.
Could it be there are some emotional or psychological changes? After all, sex and emotions are pretty closely bonded.
How was your sex-life before the last 3 nights? I mean, were the last 3 nights significantly different from before?
Hope things'll get better for you shortly!

Hi @type1don454647, As @Antje77 says, the physical mechanism (for want of a better word) would appear to be intact.
So it may be the psychological issue of performing sex with a partner which needs addressing. There are countless books, tapes/CDs etc. Your local library may have some. See whether there is a section on performance/performance anxiety etc (i am not stating a diagnosis just whereabouts the help you need might be found).
You, and perhaps your partner, seeing a sex counsellor is another option.
Plenty of sleep and limiting late nights, some exercise, keeping BSLs under control, no or little alcohol all might all help.
Best Wishes. Feedback of success in the form of a thumbs up is sufficient detail !!!

Now i know this is going against the grain and very, very old fashioned, but your profile say's you are only 17 years old and if that's not correct, please tell me. As a mother, my advise to someone that age is...."what about abstaining?. Problem solved. Now before anybody comes down hard on me for that comment, first of all, do remember, i am thinking like a mother and it's the advise I would give to my children and grandchildren. Having said that, how is your health physically? Is your diabetes under control? Do you eat well ext.As usual, i have to add there is always so many more professional people who could give you advise on that score, however i don't believe it's that important for a 17 year boy.:playful:. Friendships, sport ext is something i think you should be thinking at your age. Good luck............... From a MOTHER.:angelic:

Considering you have raised this question on a diabetes forum, I would ask what your bg has been like for the last 3 nights and whether this is different to when masturbating.
I find a high or low BG affects my ability to become aroused.

Could you say for sure its related to your diabetes.......?

I often have the opposite problem......;)

May it be the case that your partner may not be doing it for you......? In which case a conversation may be needed to ensure you are both getting what you want out of it....

I also wouldn't imagine a 17 year old being an expert at oral so don't get too worried about it and just try and enjoy it all while your still young and fit......lol....

Ah. Je n'sais qua! I would try reading the books with her and see what happens. Are the bed sheets fireproof !!

Hi @type1don4546 ,

Welcome to the forum.

Well? it's all natural stuff.
Some guys & some women for that matter, just have a little more "staying power."
If you have the tallent? use it to your advantage.. Play safe & keep contraception in mind. Cause & effect. ;)

"Marathon , not a sprint." :)

first times, or the first several times, can be a learning curve. The feel of sex with someone else is different from the feel of masturbation. The angles are a bit different. A vagina grips differently etc etc.

It will come in time (pun intended) have fun, relax, enjoy.

If your girlfriend is also inexperienced then that will also make a difference. Satisfying exciting sex each and every time only happens in the movies. You have the rest of your life to enjoy this - everything will be fine.

Firs times for you means this kind of thing is perfectly normal.....you're still finding your feet.....lots of good times ahead.....;)

Am I the only one who finds it a little ironic that the profanity filter will replace words like he11 with asterisks, presumably to not frighten the women and children, yet threads like this appear to be fine? It's a mad, mad, world :D

The profanity filter doesn't (and never has) removed the word hell or Hell from posts.
Not sure how this rumour started, but it isn't true.

Mind you (on reflection), there are a number of offensive phrases that include the word hell that are inappropriate to use the forum, so the word could at some point have been manually modded out by one of the team on that basis...

In seriousness. Emotional support.

The OP expresses concerns, possible anxiety regarding performance. It's bad enough at that age whatever gender without diabetes.
When you have the D tag. it gets the blame for everything. :banghead:

It's more like the "pizza effect?" Young man suddenly realising he's not a "delivery guy" in those short attention span specialist videos..? :)

Basically it's not about getting yer lines right in a movie.. It's an impromptu mutual expression of love & respect!

There’s no profanity here. Just a frank discussion of perfectly normal bodily functions, using medical names for body parts and activities.

In which case, first night nerves, and a certain pressure to perform well, maybe? So not necessarily something diabetes related that you need worry about.

What about your girl friend experience wise - would she be able to give you a helping hand?

Robbity

Hi again,

Normaly diabetes can cause issue with obtaining an erection.. (This can occur after years of the condition.)
From what I can gather from your post. You have good function. But it takes a while to climax? (Ejaculate.)
