Another timeless classic, Jaques Brel Dans le Port d'Amsterdam

I gave up the Gauloise and now I have to forgo the croissants and hot chocolate.

One of my favourite films is La Vid en Rose.
The (dramatized) but true story of Edith Piaf.
All in French but with English subtitles.

Utterly brilliant film... But very hard to find online without putting yourself at risk.

All the viruses I have caught have been trawling the internet for free films.

I used Movie 2k for years but that has suddenly been taken down....

Found a link !!

http://viooz.co/movies/2296-la-vie-en-rose-2007.html

It has subtitles. Just clicked on it and I didn't get an iffy disease.

Brilliant idea for a thread zolabud.
and you've attracted very funny posts.

Here's a clip I came across on Youtube.
You'll need to bare with it for a few seconds.
You won't understand a word of it at the
begining but all is not as you would expect.

Parliamo Glasgow.

Old but very funny....

Just watched it again and it cracks me up everytime.

Talking of The Eagles noblehead did you see that documentary last week The History of the Eagles.

Watched, loved it and wanted to watch it again.

Found it here.

I assuming its safe as this the 2nd film I have found and nothing dodgy happened.

http://viooz.co/movies/16135-history-of ... -2013.html

Apparently it's in 3 parts but this seems to be the whole version.

Fave band of mine too...... Love 'em....

Here is another documentary which I loved.

Covers the beginnings of The Bryds right up to the beginning of The Eagles.

With Joni Mitchell,Niel Young,Crosby,Stills,Nash and Young and a host of other brilliant artists from the late 60s to the 70s and beyond.

Found it on You Tube.

Part 1. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-3FvWSvZx4U

Part 2. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K-DQVF7oL6c

Part 3. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KkILixcnAgw

Part 4. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=txCxL-ItOTI

Part 5. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wF4P5SM_m1s

Part 6. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GANjDKnIv3M

Part 7. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3XfcDIbOCcc

Here is a George Harrison song. 'While my Guitar gently weeps'. Played by Jake Shimabukuro

It is truly beautiful.

If you have not seen this before, Prince, Tom Petty, Steve Winwood, Jeff Lynne and others including George Harrison's son Dhani Harrison play While My Guitar Gently Weeps. Prince demonstrates exactly how good a gitar player he can be towards the end. You can't miss Dhani. He looks just like his father.

I did Zolabud, recorded it, watched it and have kept in on my Sky planner

Some great early footage of the band, it was interesting how they came together to record Hotel California, Joe Walsh is a legend and such a fantastic guitarist, I was reading an interview with Stevie Nicks (Fleetwood Mac) and she was saying that Joe was the one true love of her life, hope to get the History of the Eagles on DVD soon once it reduces in price :)

I watched the Fleetwood Mac story last week when it aired on BBC 4.
Then they repeated it again a few day later and I watched it again.... I LOVE that story. I thought Peter Green was SUCH a good looking unassuming guy.

There is another documentary called Man of the World all about Peter Green and his life with Fleetwood Mac. And life after Fleetwood which for Peter was quite a story.
Brilliant. I will see if I can find it......

I've only found it... On You Tube so it's quite safe and for once its all in one part so no fiddling around.

Incredibly good is this.....
