Hi all
Just wondered which gives the best indication of good BG control:
fasting OR 2hrs after evening meal.
The reason I ask is that I generally have readings of 5. something 2 hrs after my evening meal ( if I've been good) however I rarely have a reading of under 7 first thing in the morning. I know this could be due to DP but no guarantees.
I had my best FBG of 5.5 on Tuesday morning after having eaten 3 slice dominos pizza and 4 slice chocolate birthday cake the night before  I know diabetes is not an exact science but this makes no sense.
I went to GP today to get forms signed and asked when next hba1c will be due as my last one was in Dec. I wasn't sure if it would be 3mthly, 6mthly or yearly. I've got an appointment for next Friday!!!!! That should be interesting as I tried really hard for my first post diagnosis hba1c but have since become quite complacent. In some ways I hope it gives me the shock I need but, for obvious reasons, I hope to get a good result.
