Yes Annie, I have. I thought it usually only happened when they were sending out their newsletter, but like you I have found it slow for a couple of days now.

I noticed that the Forum was closed for maintenance for a while yesterday, which probably meant they were implementing an update or tinkering with the settings. Both of these things always seem to have a fatal effect on forum software. The other forum that I frequent (for people who like messing about in boats) suffers from similar problems from time to time and it's always after the implementation of "improvements" :)

They'll fix it in due course (hopefully).

Yes, same here: slow yesterday (Friday 26/09), slower still first thing this morning (9.00am), and almost stationary at present!

Seems to be an on-going problem, there are times where it's slower than normal due to the high volume of members on-line and visitors viewing (lunch time/early evening are two) but the last few days it's slow all the time :rolleyes:

Where is everyone?

Members must be struggling to log on cos it's so quiet on here!

I just logged back on and it took me 5 mins to log in.

Whatever it is. I wish they would fix it!

So slow l have turned into a fossil

The problem is simple really...if they closed it for maintenance then they let experts near it and the the definition of an expert is:
Ex = Has been
Spurt= a sort burst of energy

On that note l shall sneak off and hope no expert is reading this :p:hilarious:

So slow it is going backwards at the moment. I am sure this must be putting a lot of newbies off posting. I feel like throwing my computer out of the window right now!

S-o
s-l-o-w-w-u-h. :banghead:
Glad it ain't just me falling asleep in the daytime and that it isn't a hypo....
Just feels like one. :(

I love techie experts (eg my son) and I think they should wear star-spangled cloaks and pointy hats at all times.
(I reckon they MAKE things go slow just to teach us a lesson in appreciating them.)

By the way, my dictionary gives another definition of 'expert':

Ex = no longer
Spurt = a drip under pressure

So that's a more positive note then. :)

Just to let you all know
I have emailed admin about this problem

Admin will be in office tomorrow (Monday)
Hope fully all will be/get sorted out

With technology nowadays - blips can unfortunately happen !

its a lot better then this morning but still a little slow

:(Conversation abandoned this evening as it was taking so long for messages to get through and impossible to continue....calculated the time lapse between message being sent and message being received was over 10 minutes.......made for a very awkward and disjointed chat....:(....hope things improve soon...:(
