Hello,

I am on my first sensor and have 9 days left and have started to notice the adhesive peeling slightly? Does anyone else have this? And is it much to worry about, will it stay or do i need to purchase something to put over the top?

Mines started to peel at the edges, though the rest seems to be stuck well, i only have 4 days left on it and its been like that fora few days

Don't know whether to just stick through it as its my first, and then look for alternatives if it falls off for the second one?

Sometimes the edges can lift but the sensor is still quite firmly stuck. I have a reel of Opsite tape incase a sensor was to come loose. I have only used it once when I first saw the edge lifting thing, but am not sure it was necessary. Am on my 32nd sensor.

Ah thanks. Lot of money to be investing into that! Loved it so far, taken the stress away

Sometimes I wear some tubigrip over it - mainly at bedtimes

It is interesting, i came across glucowise recently but it looks merely a concept

You could also use a tubular arm bandage to hold the sensor in place, with the Pump Pods that I use I sometimes use a bandage if I'm active to stop the dragging sensation on the skin (the pods are much larger and heavier than the sensors) although I've not had one come unstuck.

@robert72, see when charging the Reader, is it quicker charging it from a laptop?

Noticed this evening when charging from the wall socket it seemed to take longer than the 3 hours Abbott mention in the manual, a couple of years back I was using the Contour USB meter and that was slow at charging from the wall socket compared to using the USB port of a laptop.

I just use an iPhone plug and swap the cables over. Never had a problem with it.

Well didn't go as planned, first sensor started off extremely well and for the first day the sensor readings won't that far away from my pump bg readings, however yesterday I noticed some unexpected higher readings with the Libre and on checking my bg there's was a 2mmol/l difference, persevered but today that difference was around 3mmmol/l so decided to ring Abbott up and query it.

After a long discussion on the phone with the call handler and going through 2 screens of questions they decided to send out a replacement sensor and I've to send the one I was using back, not the best of starts but will see how the second sensor goes.

Sorry to hear that Nigel. I've had 3 replaced out of 32 for being inaccurate, but that was in the first few months.

Thanks Robert, interesting that the replacements were in the first few months, do you think the fault was partly yours or do you think that the sensor accuracy have improved over the last year?

My perception is that they have improved, but maybe there could have been some user contribution - it's important to keep well hydrated, but having said that, the faulty sensors I had did seem like lemons from the start.

Slightly off topic but related just the same, when I started on the pump I had a few issues with my pods, this was mainly in the first few weeks and I can certainly say that user error played a small part, I'm going to wait until tomorrow to activate the second sensor and I'll keep your tip in mind about staying hydrated

Should i be worried about sensor accuracy when they're slightly off? Like by 1 or 2? Or shall i be worried just now where i am 3.6 (hypo) after an overestimation of dinner dose and my libre is saying LO?

Currently 7.4 on machine and 5.7 on libre
