My husband advised to raise this issue with members. My endo originally prescribed 20 mg once a day. After getting a repeat script from GP surgery I noticed they were labelled half per day and they were 80 mg tabs. No one told me the level had been increased. However, pharmacist said I can get 40mg tabs and not good idea to split. I told Receptionist at GP she said they cannot prescribe 40 mg. I am concerned that splitting my tablets will not guarantee exact amounts each time, plus I read on internet that gliclazide should be taken whole. However, they are not SR so maybe that doesn't apply. Now I wonder why I can't get 2 x 20 mg
Any wise bods out there have any idea on this?
