Can I ask how far out the hba1c estimate on my sugr is please? I'm wondering how far out/close it is as I have been looking at it for an estimate on my next bloods.

Depends on how often you test.
The app simply averages the numbers you feed it, so if you only feed it morning BG's it won't take into account after meal numbers.

Thank you. Yes I test most meals a day unless I already know it's something that won't really affect my bloods. Can I just ask another quick question. Now I'm on gliclazide twice daily, my bloods are vastly improving. I'm not there yet, but wondering what number to keep an eye on for hypo risk? I've read 2, 3, 4. I don't want to "help" increase my bloods unnecessarily. Thank you.

You do not want to go below 4, that's a hypo.
If you do go below that, you'll want to treat with some quick acting glucose first, and test again after 15 minutes. Repeat if necessary.
If you find you go way high after treating, you might want to adjust the amount of glucose you use to treat.

Would you like the mods to move your questions to a new thread of its own? It doesn't really have much to do with the subject of this thread, and I'm sure @EllieM or @lovinglife are happy to move our conversation. :)

That would be great if possible! I don't want ppl to have to read through unrelated comments on someone else's post. Thanks

Mod note: the posts in this thread have been moved from this thread here

Thank you for moving this post for me! I'm keeping a close eye on bloods tonight as dropping quickly. We are now at 4.1 . I have been unwell this week so I don't know if I would even recognise the symptoms for a hypo, (between a hypo and illness) and it's the first time I've ever been this low.

If you're at 4.1 now, I think this is a good moment to eat a little something to prevent a hypo, and I wouldn't go to bed on this number.

Sorry, busy morning. I ended up sleeping on a 4.6. Not great but was exhausted. Readings a bit better this morning. 5.2 on waking. Thank you

Mine was way out. 45 on MySugar and 64 on lab test. Stopped using it now.
