GOOD AFTERNOON/EVENING.

We're just about not killing each other @doolallylady The first fortnight was fine, we were "out and about" and visiting friends and generally enjoying ourselves, and each other but this week has been a little tense with hubby at a loose end and following me around like a little lost sheep. He's upstairs in the attic at the moment unearthing our suitcases for tomorrow, so I have 5 mins peace :) Do not, under any circumstance allow your hubby to retire - ever! I may have to force mine to take up a new hobby :)

@ickihun - I just realised Vicky that I should not have posted that item on the fasting thread = poops!!!! :D
I decreased the Insulin by 4 units over the last week and I am only taking 42, but don't forget I am still taking 4 x 500mg of Metformin a day as well! With not doing much and not eating much I don't want my 'backside' to spread and get any bigger!!! I am working on this bloody knee and doing exercises on it as much as I can thru the day. Have took a picture today of my knee, it looks better than the last one.
Ouchie!! It does look like bursitis, doesn't it?

Fortunately mine is 6 years younger than I am, so not likely to retire for a while (God willing), but I have a nice, comfy spot earmarked for him under the patio whenever the dreaded day arrives.... ;)

I can add weight even on scraps. Its that insulin which adds weight not food.
If you eat less carby foods it will need less insulin too.
My insulin resistance is so bad i get glucose from veg and protein. Any micro except fat.
Too much fat or protein or veg still raises my bgs. Fat is different. Too much makes me gain fat which increases my insulin resistance, only combated by walking and other stress-free exercise.(swimming for me).
Too much protein and veg gives me excessive glucose. Its a balancing act.
The least amount of insulin to take is zero but I need those units to function normally. My insulin made doesnt get recognised nor changed into enough energy for this big body of mine. :(

Hello stranger, and how are you Karen? apart from the football that is. I too dislike televised football, thought I'd get off with it this time as Scotland didn't qualify but- no! hubby is cheering on our fellow Celts.
Come on Wales!!!!
Lol you remind me of mum, she's never been a sports fan but she went to teacher training college in Wales so every time they play international games she will always support the Celts!

Too late, he retired last year and most of the time he really is driving me doolally. I feel like Bo Peep too.
If I get up it's 'where you going now?'
And did you know I hide the kettle and teabags because I keep getting asked if it's time for a cuppa and am I going to put said kettle on.
The weekly shop, where do I start? I'll never moan again about doing it on my own (if I get the chance).

And he moves things from where they're usually kept. He 'organized' my kitchen cupboards :bigtears:

But my 'favourites' have to be..........I've done the dishes, hoovering, dusting FOR YOU!!! As though I'm the only 1 that has eaten or left bits on the floor .

After 40 odd years together he really knows how to yank my chain. I still love him to bits but wish Tesco's sold patience by the ton.

Mine is at home due to ill health and oh yes.
He drives me mad. However on my poorly days he keeps the kids quiet for me to sleep. The toddler checks up on me.
Boys! They are great fun. :)

Good Afternoon @mo53 - The 3 plants R bought the other day are: 1 is a MUKGENIA in Floral Flame (a hybrid of the Bergenia plant), - and 2 ROSCOEA PURPARIA in Purple - some people say the flower looks like an Iris/Orchid. So, we are keeping 1 for us. And got Father a box of his favourite Chocolate Brazil Nuts.
Plus we bought a voucher to have Afternoon Creamed Tea for 4 persons at Wyevale Garden Centre, so we are taking Both R's Mum & Dad as an extra treat. (Date to be arranged yet). How is your garden? Is anything in bloom yet? I've got an Orchid that I paid £5 in clearance section it was looking lifeless at the time, but have managed to bring it back to life, and it is in flower, will take a photo and put it on Gardenfile. William:) p.s. Have put photo on Gardenfile.

I could have written your post @doolallylady. Ditto to every single thing you said! Lord! Are men really all the same lol There's no hope then?

No hope at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Weekly shop day today, we were in Tesco, I was minding my own business and trying to ignore him (fat chance) when all of a sudden he pointed and his voice boomed out:

'Have I got to pick up more of these for my dinners next week?'

We were by the pet food aisle, now I know his usual place is in the doghouse, but really. Everyone close by was sniggering. Me, I could cheerfully have strangled him :arghh:.

Good afternoon everyone, no rain here............. yet, but still cloudy. I have had a busy day so far, but a good
one too. Off out again later for the last work job of the week :)

Hi everyone, hope you're all as well as can be.

I think our summer has been and gone and we're more likely to be rusty than tanned. It's my 'baby's' birthday tomorrow, he'll be 32, where has the time gone?

@liam1955 the afternoon tea sounds a lovely treat for all of you. Your orchid is really beautiful. You rescued her well. :) I'm just going to look up your first plant.
