Have they given you a diuretic to help? Come 9pm I'm like a water balloon, in middle. No leg/ankle swelling but I do raise my feet up at night. Dreading summer for swollen feet this year.eldergarth said:Already do Vicky swelling in legs getting worse
Give gp practice a call early doors tomorrow and ask for a callback. Fingers crossed he will call you back. He might suggest a solution. Are your feet cold? Not yet Vicky not got next hospital appointment tell March was saying to Liam other day by pm that my legs and feet have a tint of blue to them and these patches have pushed my BG up back in mid 8's for fasting and double figures by mid afternoon

Not just his feet , it's his hands to.Yes Vicky permanently cold Tina tells me there like ice as I can't feel them myself
Ask gp if its ok to wear surgical stockings which people use for long haul flights? Keep you warm and help with circulation. My diuretic gives me one cold foot and other not so cold. So diuretic might make that worse, I'm not sure . Gp needs to advise hun.Yes Vicky permanently cold Tina tells me there like ice as I can't feel them myself
s it too painful to do stretches and rotation of ankles and wrists? Pumping your circulation is important. What advise has been given about circulation and movements? Not just his feet , it's his hands to.

Temp is up but BP has been pretty stable and breathing is still not improving but don't know if it's the pleurisy .Please mention cold feet and hands. Ask if you can use stockings and can he help reduce swellings til hospital appointment as very very uncomfortable.
I'm not sure if putting pressure on your heart hun. Is your blood pressure up?
If you think you still have plursy you need to go back to gp. Too many weeks. He will ask you to get bgs down thou as higher bgs affect healing. I don't need to tell you that thou. Its drummed into us diabetics. I got reminded on tuesday by gp. Just thankful my infection looks like its gone but I've been hot on my bgs. Not to say if won't come back. Its a fine line between bgs affecting your immune system. Keeping bgs as good as possible can make a huge difference.Temp is up but BP has been pretty stable and breathing is still not improving but don't know if it's the pleurisy .
Not sure with the compression socks as my diabetic socks dig in to my legs by end of the day .
You should lose on dapagliflozin and less insulin. Well done quizing him about gout again. its nice to be reassured, isn't it. A slimmer William here you come!Good Afternoon/Evening Folks.
Attended GP appointment this afternoon. He is not pleased that I have put on 4 lbs with not being as mobile due to my swollen ankle and painful spine. Told him because of reduced mobility I am not eating Breakfast or Lunch - but just a cooked Evening Meal. Also stopped taking artificial sweeteners in my hot drinks.
I have to reduce my Insulin by 2 units every 3 - 4 days and get down to just 38 units (or less) of Insulin daily. Continue taking the 4 x 500mg Metformin daily and he has put me back on 5mg Dapagliflozin (this got stopped 10 months ago because of recurring burning urine and thrush). To have my Bloods done in 3 months time to check on my HBA1C. (Went up to 76 from 60 = think??? liquid Morphine was to blame?)
My Ankle is still swollen but no bruising and have got to do foot and leg exercises to prevent muscle wastage, when the swelling has gone completely he will check my Uric Acid levels = but he insists it is not Gout? He says it Osteoarthritis??? And hitting my ankle bone didn't do it any good, but to continue taking the Naproxen. Only if in severe pain with my Spine do I then take the liquid Morphine, but not had any for a week!
Liam Hi. I think Vitamin K2 helps with osteoarthritis. Get your level tested. Did you mention your wonderful fasting levels recently to your GP? Add to that have your other daytime readings come down?Good Afternoon/Evening Folks.
