Mmmmmmmmm, I could murder a lovely, long, G&T - the glass all frosted with moisture, a slice of lime sending bubbles up between the ice cubes clinking against the glass...
Oh dear - I have to have one now. Cheers, guys....!

You know @debrasue - I think I might join you. I have got a bottle of Gordon's unopened from Christmas, and a bottle of diet Tonic water with twist of Lemon. Not bothered about the ice, it won't be in the glass long enough for the ice to melt. Think I'll put the ice.................... fill in the blanks yourself!!!:D
 
Good grief - the thermometer in my lounge is reading 30 degrees!!! :eek:

It's the only drink that I enjoy, apart from Red Wine. But, after 2 drinks that's me wanting to go to sleep. Just seen News and York reached 31 degrees, but going to be a hot, humid and sticky night of 23 degrees. :(
 
I don't drink at all, considering my Celtic heritage I'm the world's biggest lightweight! I went through a phase in my younger days when I was going out every weekend but that didn't last long - the hangovers just weren't worth it.

Tonight I'm going to take a leaf out of @debrasue's book and arm myself with fans and a spray bottle, although I don't think I'll be sleeping much with the amount of water I've been drinking. I think I'll be spending half the night on the toilet!
 
Visitors just left, I'm shattered - the vodka led to a huge amount of roast chicken plus cheese and bacon-y things being consumed. Much laughter and fun had by all. Hope you two - @liam1955 and @debrasue enjoyed your gin and ice rubs. And @Diamum5972 - hope that you manage to sleep. Goodnight all

Night-night Anna - I'm glad you had a fun evening. Yes, the gin was lovely but I think it's made me hotter than ever because the ice isn't really working... :(

Never had the Gin & Tonic after all, because of taking the Steroids. R bought a litre bottle of Sparkling Lychee made with Real Fruit Juice and only 13g of sugar per 100mils.
I'm not one for drinking fizzy drinks, so I put some cold water in mine and it was really refreshing, I had to have another glass. :D

Apart from parasol-gate (details on another thread), I was having a pretty good day until about 4 o'clock, when sciatica decided to make its presence felt in a big way. :inpain:
Looks like I won't be going out dancing tonight then...
(Well, no, I hadn't planned on it, but I like to keep my options open!)

Oh no. I know that pain in the neck, well leg.
Co-codamol did nothing for my pain, ended up on amitriptyline but as it was improving co-codamol was perfect. How about you? ♡♥♡

Actually, the pain is a little higher than my leg... I can't sit down!
OxyContin is doing a great job as regards pain relief, but I can't take that for very long so I hope it's going to go as quickly as it came... Especially as I've just committed to quite a big proofreading job over the next week and a half!

Good Evening Folks :). Done the worst household chore ever = Food Shopping!! Had a "queasy" turn in the Supermarket and had to go outside and drink water. Got home from shopping and felt queasy so sat on the kitchen floor with the Fridge door open. Tomorrow, I decrease the the Steriod Tablets to 15mg (3) for the next 7 days and so, I do hope I start to feel better. (Every 7 days the Steroids are decreased by 1 tablet) Got my Biological Injection on Tuesday and wondering if? that is going to react? Then Wednesday got the MRI Liver Scan with a contrast dye to check the artery to my Liver. There I have had my moan :)

I'm OK William, nauseated like yourself and a whirly head, just want to sleep. Looks like I didn't get rid of the virus I had two weeks ago, my bloods have soared but I'll survive I'm sure. Was there any Greek yogurt left in the shop after you had bought your groceries?
