Good Morning

Good morning from Scotland, it's still again now that the storm has blown past and quite mild. Hope everyone enjoyed the festivities and feel well today. Time to step away from the chocolate, you know who you are :)
It's me! It's me! (But I'm not quite ready to step away from it yet....... :shy:)

Morning everyone!

I'm thoroughly enjoying my children so not on-line much. Partner would prefer me not on these forums as he feels I should just forget about diabetes - afterall he thinks it will just go away then. For him maybe.

Hence I'm still here posting.
I've made some lovely friends who I can PM (if they reply back .... cough cough @Liam1955) lol

I'll pop in from time to time.
I have a diet to start next week so I'll be using the low carb section.
I might have to start weighing myself daily so the wekkly weigh-in shouldnt be no longer ignored.

Christmas has always been for the children. New year is for the adults. So preparing for the adults party now.

See you all at our virtual christmas eve party - all welcome. It starts early due to ellagy's birthday. 10.30am christmas eve, I believe.
Have a great day today.
I've thoroughly enjoyed my few days of rest. Time for normality now. humf! lol

Lol I know that feeling Vicky! I think I'm going to have to take stock of things in the New Year, a few extra carbs have been sneaking in over Christmas and my fbgs have been suffering! I also haven't been walking as much as usual so it's time to knock this laziness on the head and get out in the fresh air. (Fresh being the operative word!) If you need a low carb buddy you know where I am :)

Good Morning Kindred Spirits! A very good reading today, 5.1 but I had a hellish time with these Autoshield needles. They often don't work or if they do, sometimes the orange tip base is wet, so I took another injection but I can't help wondering if I repeated y usual dose ..... Of course I will keep an eye on things.

My poor pink Christmas lilies can't seem to take the cold and are droopy although the leaves remain green and the petals haven't fallen. I would dump them but the perfume is still divine!

Glad you are around again Liam! How are you?

Taking my time and plodding on to do everything slowly at my own pace, any sudden movements is a no-no and just gives me searing pain. Only taking the Morphine if I really, really need it?
Thanks - @asparagusp

I remember being on MST Continus 30mg and my advice is only take when necessary as Morphine is habit forming. Wouldn't you be better off with a sustained release Fentanyl patch ? Get well soon. :)

Hi @eddie1968 - I asked my GP about Fentanyl Patches (a month ago) he said they take about a week before they have any effect. He prescribed me Liquid Morphine for 'fast relief' - but, only allowed to use it when absolutely needed and for 3 to 4 days at any one time and then come off it for 5 to 7 days. I am also taking Tramadol and Pregabalin but when I start on the liquid Morphine I stop these two other drugs. But, Thanks for your suggestion. Hope you had a great Chritmas. :)

Good morning everyone. It's still dark up here am having to wait for my morning walk this time of year. I hope today is good for everyone with any sick folks beginning to heal and feeling better

Morning everyone, we have freezing fog here but the fridge is empty so I have to get some shopping in. If I go to mum's shops I can test out my new Winter boots and pop in to see mum at the same time. Win win!

Happy New Year everyone. Hubby and I are beginning 2017 with a stinking flu like virus. I have no voice at all this morning and my throat feels like shattered glass but hey-ho we're still about to stagger round our local Country Park. It's a beautiful, mild morning with a watery sun struggling through the clouds. Not a sound outside as most of Scotland is nursing a hangover this morning. May 2017 be filled with good things for us all

1/1/17 - Good Morning and a Happy New Year To You All from R and I from a 'peshing down' (raining) York :). Sending @13lizanne Special hugs/cuddles to You and your Husband and Get Well Soon. And hugs to all the poorly people too. :)

Morning all, it's cold and windy today so I'm going to be hibernating! Hope everyone has a good day
