Type of diabetes
Type 2
Type 2 diabetes could be prevented immediately if the UK government took action and made it law that sugar firms ceased the production of granulated sugar as it is crystals and does not dissolve and causes damage to the human body function. Caster sugar should be the sugar sold in all shops as this dissolves and prevents damage. The NHS could save millions of pounds.

Nope sorry.. your body really can't tell the difference.. cornflakes, sugar, fruit all turn to sugar once ingested.

If you are relying on this kind of information to improve your health then, sorry, you need to do a lot more reading. Sugar is a carbohydrate and all carbohydrate is turned into glucose once eaten.

Are you having a laugh? I have never heard such nonsense in my life! Please go away and educate yourself on what sugar is, and what it does to diabetics

You have been posting about this before - do you eat a lot of sugar?

After looking, it seems every post made by this person is about granulated sugar and the same statement is made.... probably someone trying to have a bit of fun.

Stuff like this, intentional or otherwise, just obfuscates the real data and serves only to muddy the waters of information.

Nobody could be that ignorant .... maybe this is an exception

Hello @Tunnell74 Unfortunately if you are prepared to make sweeping statements like this then you need to give evidence - can you provide us with the source of your information ?

Hi @Tunnell74

This information is not in agreement with general scientific understanding of the causes of diabetes, whether type 1, 2, or any of the 3s.

If you are going to make claims like this, could you please support those claims with links and information to explain why you think this way.

In terms of sugar, granulated sugar, caster sugar and icing sugar are exactly the same substance, it is just that caster sugar and icing sugars have been ground more finely. All three dissolve in water, and in the digestive juices as we digest them.

Tunnel vision, perhaps?

I'm completely gobsmacked! I must have added thousands of teaspoons of granulated sugar to my hot drinks in the 70 something years before I was diagnosed T2 and stopped using sugar, and not once in all that time did I ever realise that those sugary granules weren't actually dissolving...:***:

Bundaberg Sugar Ltd produces, granulated, castor, raw sugar product that are all soluble in water. Even the molasses that gets pumped over to Bundaberg Rum Distillery's underground tanks where it is processed into rum using water.
