Has anyone had these?

Got a friend or recommended them because she goes Keto and likes them.

But I’m not sure about the suitability for diabetes etc.

It’s low sugar it says

I think I've heard @Rachox mention the brand.
Thanks for the tag @DCUKMod , yes I eat Grenade Carb Killa bars, I really like them. They are sweetened with Polyols which are alcohol sugars which are neither alcohol or sugar. They are a carbohydrate so the total carbohydrate count appears high, however most people don’t absorb polyols so you need to subtract the polyols from the total carb count. Depending on flavour they are around 2g of regular carbs per bar. You’d need to test before and two hours after eating to check your own reaction. You can buy single bars in Tesco if you wanted to save risking buying a boxful straight away.

Malitol - oh dear - I only ate that once, thought that I was going to explode. Never again.

@Rachox thanks for this useful information - I don’t tend to delve too deeply into the total ‘make up’ of foods etc. I have looked at them before but put them back due to their high carb content however I may look at them again.

Whilst they claim to be non absorbable carbs, maltitol has the same effect on me as sugar. Plus it also gives me awful gastric issues, cramps, gas and diarrhoea. They don’t do this to everyone but it isn’t unusual with maltitol.

If you choose to chance it test before and after and be aware of digestive issues. They don’t taste too bad but it’s not worth it for me.

It’s not about allowed, it’s about if it’s a good choice or not. As i said above 4 yrs ago test them with a meter. They have maltitol as the sweetener. It spikes me as badly as sugar would and if eaten in excess causes unpleasant gastric side effects. (That’s a sugar alcohol/polyol , but they are not all the same and I’m ok with erythritol and xylitol). I am not alone but some in here say they are ok with them. Also consider they are most definitely an ultra processed item and full of things that definitively don’t look or sound like food to me.
