Thanks Everyone
Erin - you describe exactly how I felt a week back. Glad to hear you are better now
Wow, I am surprised that people becoming diabetic go over 30 -- I felt as if I was
sleeping and did not feel bad really. My diabetic nurse told me that she had seen higher!
My pharmacists were very kind and provided me with the meter and some lessons. But
I was pretty lethargic and mentally foggy, and I also saw a dark fog. It was eerie.
Without Banting and Best I don't think we would have survived very long. My mother was
absolutely delighted to see me lose so much weight. in a short time. D'Oh! Diabetes ran in my family
but I don't think she understood what the weight loss was related to. I could
hardly walk to her condo going as I was very weak. Anyway, I was
saved by my diabetic team. My diabetic nurse said that I had been pre-diabetic for some
time before, and I can understand that given some symptoms I had which I did not understand.
How long? Maybe 7-10 yrs.
