Hello Everyone
I was wondering if some of you could post your highest blood sugar levels. :?:
Over the past month I have had readings off the scale (H1 - on my meter) Have just started on glicazide and a low carb diet - and things are improving. 16.3 on last reading
Thanks
Gill
What's your blood sugar been like today @Sallyspelling ?
Were you given any advice about increasing the insulin gradually? Are you counting carbs?
@Sallyspelling Write your reply in the text box at the bottom of the page and then press the green Post Reply button directly underneath the text box.
You haven't replied and I'm going offline now, so if your blood sugar is still high then give 111 a call. I think you need some medical advice and help to get your blood sugar down and get rehydrated @Sallyspelling
Thank you azure i am feeling a bit better just had my jab and am going to try a carb free dinner see how that works . But if they spike for any anount of time i will fillow your advice . Thank you so much
Please, please be careful going zero carb.... please consider some minimal carbs.
You must be on mixed insulin to have 2 jabs in a day. So with these you need to eat... its just balancing it out.
It is also better to come down from high levels in a progressive plan than to suddenly drop as this can cause damage to your eyes.
Yes extreme highs like yours are awful but please take a softer approach now to balance yourself.
Sorry you've been so ill @Sallyspelling I hope you're feeling better now.
