How Did You Choose Your Avatar?

Hi All, I always enjoy seeing people's avatars and sometimes wonder how in the world were they chosen? Some of them make me laugh out loud, others give me pause and I think, "What is the story behind that one?" If you wouldn't mind sharing?? I don't have one yet, and am still searching and maybe I will get some ideas from y'all!

Was a convenient and easy download as far as I can remember.
I keep meaning to change it and you might have spurred me on

On hols last year and was taken on my 50th birthday. Something I NEVER thought i would have the "balls" to do BUT soooo glad I done it
 
Reminds me of a Facebook post from our daughter, two or three years back:

"Can't believe I've just jumped out of a plane over the Barrier Reef"

Mind you - preferable to seeing one that said "Just about to jump out of a plane over the Barrier Reef" :D
 
I picked Homer Simpson because he reminded me of my old self eat pretty much anything and guzzle beer like a fish. I've stopped all that now and after reading the forum I've dropped 3 stones in 5 weeks and follow the low carb diet

Ha, normally takes me about two years of trying to get a decent selfie!!

I love your avatar and have seen it posted over the internet with a few different statements, usually rude ones.

I dont take good pictures. I practise with my mobile and then delete them. The best pics I get are taken by my 8 year old granddaughter.

The one in my avatar was taken in a small Italian restaurant in Swansea. I think I was a bit worse for wear hee hee
 
Ha. The full picture is rather rude looking hence the neck up only!..
 
My current one is my medical necklace.
Former ones are of my local football club views, Christmas stuff and other memorabilia.
Thinking of going trekkie later in the year!

Mine is because I’ve always liked the fairy godmothers who aren’t like the one in the original tales. There was a great one I saw in a pantomime a very long time ago who wore muddy gum boots, she was a bit clumsy too. And then there’s Mavis! The picture’s the best I found on an internet search.
 
Mine is a present my husband got me last year for my 50th . Seeing as he's the reason I joined the group thought I'd you it as my avatar. The picture I thought says it all. X
