- Customer helplines that use recorded menus that promise to put me through to the right person but never do - and being ill. Oh, and did I mention customer helplines :)
As I have been bursting to comment on the "How many carbohydrates do you consume per day" pole thread I thought I would start this thread.
First things first, I voted 'Between 101 - 130g' as I am guessing that is the average, although some days I may only eat around 70g or less like today I have had a fried breakfast with the only carbs being a spoonful of baked beans and whatever bread may have been in the two quality pork sausages I ate. For lunch I am going to have a can of Tescos Chicken soup which from memory is only about 16g of carbs per can. Diner is as yet undecided but will probably involve a couple of tbls of basmati rice and an orange for afters.
So basically although I do count carbs or am aware of the carbs I eat I dont necessarily eat the same amount of carbs every day.
Another point I would like to voice is that my average Ac1's are 5.5% where as some members who claim to be super low carbers have Ac1's in the 6's and even the 7's so does it really mean anything? Its been said on this forum so often that every ones diabetes is different as is every member so I'm unsure what this 'survey' is going to prove, as I'm sure you are all aware I am always deeply suspicious of statistics
Just wondered what others think?
