After a few days of terrible terrible BG levels (I think the my pancreas is giving up properly - lantus dose has almost doubled in a week and I've got a cold) I was wondering what BG level you know you're high or do you just not notice it?

Hi there I am type 1 so may be different for you but if im thirsty I normally check n its high and my muscles ache.
I also feel overly tired and my breath is sweet. My sugars are always above 10mmo/l as hate hypos so risk complications by keeping it above 10 but feel hypo if it goes below this mark x

O nptice I

I feel really thirsty, lethargic, and sore. Some times I'm 12... Sometimes I'm so high the meter reads HI... I think this is above 32.

Yes definitely feel it above 12, think of a formula one car running on diesel.. That describes running high perfectly for me !

Same for me...lethargic and very thirsty at 12...thankfully not too often these days

I can feel very nausea's, that's the biggest symptom I notice. Also tired, lethargic and sometimes thirsty.

I pick up on mine once their about past 17 or so, I can instantly tell I'm high/going higher because I get cranky, thirsty a lot and need the loo.

I feel jittery and irritable aswell as thirsty. I tend to notice mine being high at around 10.

I really hate the feeling!

I can feel high at around 8, which is high for me (my target range is 4-6)

Tiredness, yawning and a slight headache when in double figures.

I turn into an a**hole.....unfortunately, that also happens when I'm hungry, tired, annoyed, or sweating. So I suppose my answer is "I don't notice when my blood sugar is high."

no feelings as such maybe thirsty and hungry (Iknow not normal)

About 12. I just start to want to sleep, can't concentrate, I can taste it in my mouth and usually I feel unwell too

The only time I run really high, as I don't eat much, is from stress hormones, usually a very stressful work situation. I can run into the 20's and not feel anything other than the adrenaline and stress that I'm feeling.

above around 12-13 I feel thirsty, and I feel cramping/tightening of my muscles especially my calf muscles

I also get aching at the back of my legs when my levels are high . Although newly diagnosed so i didn't know if it was to do with my bg levels . After reading other people have a similar thing obviously it is .
I have found this forum fantastic for advice .
