That's not a crime!I'm blushing now. Thank you.
Why is it that hospital clinics treat you like kindergarten and GP's usually bow to experience?I agree too! 64 currently (finally get my pension this year - yay). Diagnosed Type II January 2008 and I still remember the horrid Doctor on my first hospital diabetic clinic. Was so relieved to be allowed to attend GPs clinic instead. At least they are human and let you do your own thing so long as you are under control.
I’ve found it the other way around with my GP surgery and hospital clinic! My hospital consultant and dietician are quite supportive of my keto diet; my GP had a conniption fitWhy is it that hospital clinics treat you like kindergarten and GP's usually bow to experience?
Thank youTough situation. Look after yourself.
I am 43 have been diagnosed for 2 and half years with type 1, dad died very suddenly in April 2017 and husband has been told he is dying, but hanging on in there
Perhaps I should have been a little more precise! If I saw the main diabetologist at either hospital, they would often say "You have lived with the experience for years and probably understand diabetes better than us". The following is a good example of what happened when a new "specialist", whether nurse, doctor or junior houseman entered my life:I’ve found it the other way around with my GP surgery and hospital clinic!
