How old were you when you first diagnosed with type 1?? And how long do you have it??

People who think they know a lot about Diabetes and actually don't.
I am 49 and was diagnosed on the 14th February 2013 asT1 - what a way to celebrate Valentines Day.

This is an awesome thread because those who have had it for some time give us newbies some hope and realisation that it can be controlled and that it doesn't have to rule our lives.

34 years old 8 months ago in my final placement a few weeks before completing my uni course. Youngest of 9 kids n from a family of about 40/50 cousins from either side, n only one with it far as i know!

Being type 1, my health and what really grates me are false people who make themselves out to be something when their not
39 yrs and 4 months ago aged 12. Does anyone remember Carbohydrate Countdown the bible of working out your Carbs I still had mine up till a couple of years ago until the Nurse gave me Carbs and Cals and I downloaded app on phone.
