How old were you when you first diagnosed with type 1?? And how long do you have it??

    I was in my late teens when I was diagnosed with t1. 20 years later all is well.

    That's great, keep it up. You will soon be an expert in food, carbs and how they affect you! Trick is to stay positive as sometimes it can be frustating

    Although my dietitian is ****,he has no idea how to explain it in a easy way or how to work around with units of insulin

    Ask to attend a dafne course which will help to teach you about carbs and insulin etc.

    Was 16 when i was diagnosed.. It was Christmas time which then turned into good Friday that year...
    Am 21 now so guess am a 5year old survivor of type 1 n still counting...
